RYAN FARR
Ryan graduated from Fayetteville State University with his B.S. in Music Education. He has 10 years of teaching experience and has taught schools in Houston ISD and Public Schools of Robeson County in North Carolina. Ryan currently teaches at Welch Middle School in Houston ISD as the head band director. He also works as a Music Instructor at “Music and Arts”. While working in HISD, he has received several awards to include teacher of the year and the Mr Holland’s Opus grant 2 times. Ryan has performed with various off-Broadway musicals such as “The 25th Annual PuntamStan Spelling-Bee” and “Rent” playing drum set and percussion.
While in North Carolina, he played in the “Band of Directors” jazz band. Ryan has won numerous awards including the “Hometown Heros” award from the Mayor of Fairmont.
